Today I read an email forwarded to me, this story reminds me of what I saw once beside a coffeeshop at Geylang. But first, let’s take a read at the story forwarded to me.

(My friend is a retired businessman in his early 60 and what he encountered last Saturday in a high-end dining/shopping area could happen to anyone of us.

My friend accompanies his wife to a bank in Holland Village to do some banking transaction. While his wife was being served by the personal banking executive, he decided to go and do some window-shopping around the area. While admiring the display, suddenly, out of nowhere, a young about 20+ girl pushes him aside and shouted at him, accusing my friend was molesting her. She then asked my friend to compensate (pay) her for her “ordeal” – lost of face.

My friend being a gentleman was stunned and lost of word for a moment because he never does any thing to her. He just stood there and didn’t know what to do. His mind went blank.

Luckily, a Caucasian man nearby saw all that and tells the PRC girl to stop her nuisance (unsure whether she understand English) and take out his mobile and say he wanted to call the police. The PRC girl quickly walked away joining the other shoppers.

Therefore, my male friends, if you ever become one of the victims, pls stay calm. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT start arguing or reasoning with her. If you started trying to reason with her, then you had fallen into her trap. In general, people will most likely sympathize and believe a female as victim. You will end up with paying her as demanded by her.

Just take out your mobile or ask someone (if you had no mobile) to call the police, let the law enforcement authority deal with her. For sure, no PRC girls dare to face the justice of the law cos most of them are over-stayers.

Better still, if you witness such incident, be sure to stand up and fight for the justice of such poor men.  Ladies who come forward will carry even more weight. Together we can rid our society of these scourges.)

End of the story above. I was wondering how true it was until I reminisced the farce I’ve seen myself once in Geylang: While drinking beers and watching TV, heard someone shouting at two PRC girls standing near a Bar beside the coffeeshop, “Don’t you dare to say one more time!”

Later those two girls walked to the roadside waving for a taxi away, while looking curiously at my reaction, as the man walking towards me, telling me loudly those two girls accused him for molesting their breasts after he replied with a no, for going to hotel with them.

Angrily he continued, “even if they want to earn money, this is not the right way to do it, and not even the right way to earn in Geylang as a street hooker! As a local, highly familiar in Geylang, I am not afraid of them…”

How did we ever survive without our computers? It’s almost inconceivable to think that we didn’t hardly need these daily helpers in our homes a decade ago. Like coffee, computers seem to be one of those things that you can’t live without once you’ve tried them.

Our PCs and Macs aid us on an incomparable level these days, and we certainly don’t want to return to the old ways. While these phenomenal machines continuously provide us with access to the world, we should have anti virus check to keep a close eye on them to ensure their safety. After all, computer viruses are always updating like our handy machines.

Why You Should Have Anti Virus Check?
Anti-virus check software can save you for lots of troubles for example, preventing your computer to behave abnormally, data loses, hardware failure, unintentionally spreading of computer viruses to your friends via emails, etc. Nevertheless, the destruction might be even worst than what you could imagine!

Well, as you have known, antivirus programs protects your computer for KNOWN threats or viruses that have been defined by Anti-virus developers although in their anti-virus check, not all Anti-virus developers uses the same virus definitions. It may vary from company to company. Some companies offer online virus check or online virus scan free from their websites, although it’s actually a trial for their products which on the other hand does not provide maximal anti-virus check on your computer.

What about those new viruses that haven’t been defined by Anti-virus developers or companies? Well, computer security companies like Grisoft for example, include technologies that scans computer for suspicious virus-behaving programs that have not YET been exactly defined as computer virus. With those technologies like Heuristic Analysis etc. you can ensure maximum protection with their anti-virus check.

What About Firewall?
A Firewall is a system that enforces an access control policy between two or more networks by blocking/permitting traffic. Every Firewall contains a set of rules that protect the internal network from attacks originating outside (typically from the internet) and controls all communication on every single network port. The communication is evaluated, according to a set of predefined rules, and then either allowed or forbidden. If the Firewall recognizes any intrusion attempts, it blocks the communication and does not let the intruder inside the computer.

There are basically two kinds of Firewall. Either it is a software version, or a hardware version which typically built-in within connection devices like Router or Gateway. Personally I prefer software version because of its flexibility.

Windows XP has a built-in Firewall handy for users. The only problem is, currently it only blocks intrusion coming from outside. If hackers or data thieves use other INDIRECT forms of invasion to your computer for example, by some maliciously-programmed software that is able to bypass your first level of security with compressed file or others that imposes as a friendly program. Later on, from within your computer it turns out to be retrieving your precious data and deliver it right to the hackers’ servers secretly at the background without your consent.

At this time, Firewall with anti virus check is your best friend that will block the delivery and notice you right away for further instructions! Once again, your computer data are safe.

The Negative Side of Anti-virus Check With Firewall
There is a NEGATIVE side which all of us hates! Most of the Anti-virus checker or just Firewall software alone SLOWS DOWN our computer’s performance too much while they are working on the background protecting our computer!

And it seems to be the problem for all prevailing Anti-virus check and computers users, unless we keep upgrading our system time by time.

We want protection, but we want PERFORMANCE too!

I’ve tested different kinds of Anti-virus programs with my poor laptop that has the following system specification in the past few years:

* Pentium 3 / 750 MHZ
* 128 RAM
* Windows ME

Suppose it was such a headache that I could only choose whether with just an older version of Anti-virus program or just an older version of Firewall. With BOTH, my laptop hang constantly because of insufficient RAM after some works and caused to slow down my laptop’s performance too much! And it just couldn’t accept any newer version that has additional protection features.

I couldn’t just sit there and do nothing! My precious data and works might be lost without maximum protection! Especially when there are no ending for new viruses and hacking programs coming out.

All my headaches solved when I found this AVG Anti-Virus Check Plus Firewall!

It works on the background with its outstanding technology that gives you the maximum protection you need, YET it takes LOWER system resources from your computer compared to other prevailing Anti-virus software with Firewall! Working on my laptop while giving it a good scan of viruses was an IMPOSSIBLE task due to my low-speed system. Now I can!

In Sichuan, China, there was a case of a young girl, an undergrad university student who went for clubbing on a fine Saturday night. She was very happy and drank a lot of alcoholic drinks. A young handsome man approached her, teasing & flirting with her. The girl finally hooked up with the young handsome man and followed him to a nearby luxury hotel for one night stand.

At the hotel, she was served with a kind of alcoholic drinks (wine) and slowly she passed out. When she woke up, she discovered that her whole body was numb in the bathtub filled with ice. Beside the bathtub, the young handsome man left her a note written in red along with her cellular phone, “Call 120 now, or else you will die…”

Her whole body was numb and hardly had the energy to move around. She call the number and described her present situation. A doctor on the line suggested she check her back waist whether there were 2 cuts of 9 inches opening wounds. She was extremely shocked to find out that her situation was what the doctor described. Then, the doctor advised her to lie back in the ice bathtub, without attempt to move around and wait for paramedics to arrive for her rescue.

It turned out that her kidneys were stolen by the young handsome man. A kidney can fetch up to 300,000 Renminbi (Chinese Yuan) in the black market! A specialized doctor for the case said that the alcoholic drink that was served to her in the hotel room was no ordinary wine. It maybe mixed with some kind of anesthetic. In addition, laying her in the ice bathtub to numb her back before cutting her open can also make the victim feels no pain at all. Waiting for a kidney donor is a near impossible thing to happen in China. After a period of unfruitful time waiting for a kidney, the poor girl died.

Advice & Warning from the Chinese Police: This a new kind of well organized crime operating at large scale targeting especially young girls, men, students & tourists. This kind of crime syndicates are well-trained people who are expert in medical fields actively moving around in Shandong, Guang Zhou, Shen Zhen, Fo Shan City, Dong Guan, Xia Men, Quan Zhou City, Beijing, Shanghai, Chong Qing and many other part of China’s Clubs & Bars. Hunting for sex, one night stand and clubbing in China can be very sorry if you’re unlucky. Never accept free drinks or follow any stranger to hotel. Stay in a group.

My cousin from China told me this news before, and I thought it was just some cooked-up news. Nevertheless, I did find some of this news broadcasted within China websites. It’s better to be safe than sorry. Please forward this page via the following bookmark options to warn others, especially your beloved friends and relatives; never trust strangers easily while outing. Alertness could prevent crimes from happening.

In order to make money with Google Adsense, you will need to apply from Google. However, even if you do not have a website, you can still make easy money online with a Blogging account. I will try to help you in this case. Go to Blogger now to apply a Blog account.

Follow the screen instructions at blogger and start creating an account.

Now you need to enter your “Blog title” and “Blog address” which is your Blog URL online. In this case, think of a subject you would like to post on your blog. For example, if you would like to talk about “car”, try using “Car Information” as your Blog title, and “carinformation” as your Blog address. Check availability, if someone has already registered with the same Blog address, you will need to think of another Blog address that is relevant to your Blog title.

Another example, “All about Flowers” is a good Blog title with “flowers” as your Blog address. You can change the Blog title thereafter within your Blog setting, but you cannot change the Blog address which is permanent after successfully created your account to make money with Google Adsense on this site. Give a “Blog address” that is available, and click “Continue” on the red arrow.

Next, you may choose a template for your Blog. Just choose one that you like by clicking on the Radio Button, then “Continue” on the red arrow again.

When successfully created your Blog, you will see “Your blog has been created!” on the next page. Click on “Start posting”. Now you see your Blog posting panel. Click once on the “Compose” tab on the top right hand site of the writing panel.

You will need to have some contents on your Blog before you can submit your Blog URL to apply and earn money with Google Adsense account. At this point of writing, applying for Google Adsense Publisher account has turned out to be a little tricky, you cannot search, copy and paste articles from free article websites to be your content. No more does Google accept website using others’ content for application.

But don’t worry, if there is a will, there is a way, a few ways to do this. You can choose to write your own contents with useful tips, mixed up with videos and images and/or write some description for the videos and images, write your own interesting personal diary onto it, ask your friend to help you write some marvelous articles etc. and you can start applying Google Adsense after you’ve got a few posts with your newly created blogger blog.

You can view each of your Blog by clicking on “View Blog” under your blogger account after logon to blogger.com or by the Blog address you gave which is in “http://yourblog.blogspot.com” format, where “yourblog” is the name you chose for your Blog initially. For example, if I chose “carinformation” as my Blog address, the full URL to my Blog would be http://carinformation.blogspot.com.

Now you are on the Google Adsense application page, choose your preferred language on the top right hand site. For English users, start with “Click Here to Apply” button in the center of the page and enter your information following the screen. Enter the Website URL with your Blog address.

Normally it would take a day or two for Google’s stuffs to approve your application for making money with Google Adsense, and even with suggestion and correction if you blog haven’t reach their satisfaction. Just relax and wait for the email to come to your inbox.

Once it is approved, you can login to Big Singapore Talks and go to your dashboard. You’d see an Adsense Publisher ID link at the top left hand side. Click on it to enter your unique Publisher ID that looks something like this for example: pub-1234567890121314. Where to find you Publisher ID? Just login to your Adsense account and look for it at the top right hand corner of your account management panel. Copy it with your mouse and paste it onto the “Your Advertising ID” box in Big Singapore Talks, click “Save Changes”.

That’s it! Now whenever there is a chance, your Adsense ads will show up next to your posts to earn money for you. The more you post, the more chances you’ll get to show your ads.

If for any reason you cannot do it with blogger, you can try doing it with SKYFA too, another website that let you make money with Google Adsense. Supports English, Chinese simplified and traditional.
