As this blog is using Wordpress platform, most of the functions, FAQ, features can be found on Working with Wordpress if you are interested. Some of the functions you can use within your writing panel are elaborated below to help you get started as soon.
Basic Functions On The Left Navigation Panel
• “Dashboard” Tab – Go to your dashboard.
• “Post” Tab – Write, and manage your posts.
• “Media” Tab – Pre-upload your necessary media files for writing your posts.
• “Comments” Tab – Read comments that have gotten. (Only admin can manage the comments)
• “Profile” Tab – Manage your profile.
• “Tools” Tab – Manage any tools you might have being using.
• “Import” Tab – Import your blog(s) from other platform, for example Blogger blog
Some Functions Within Your Writing Panel
• “Add New Post” Panel – The place for you to write your words, pasting your videos, adding your pictures and so on.
• “Upload/Insert” Menu – You can add/upload images, videos, audios and other medias to your post.
• “Visual” Tab – Click once on it, you will have the “WYSIWYG” writing panel with full functions on. Click on the “Show/Hide Kitchen Sink” button to show/hide additional functions. Using Visual tab by default.
• “HTML” Tab – Click once on it, you will have HTML code writing panel, in case you need HTML writing or correction.
• “Save Draft” Button – Click to save your post for the time being as draft.
• “Tags” Bar – Input your general keyword tags related to your post, separated by commas. In that way, you posts will come to a relevant group, easier to search for specific topics. You may also choose from the most popular tags.
• “Suggest Tags” Bar – Suggest tags from local tags, Yahoo or Tag The Net to your posts.
• ” Click Tags” Bar – Click to display local tags for adding to your posts.
• “Sociable” Bar – Tick to disable the social bookmarking option on your published posts. (Not recommended)
• “Categories” Boxes – Tick one or more of the categories relevant to your post.
Some of the Advanced Options
• “Excerpt” Panel – For you to write the description of your post in shorter words when your post contains only videos or images and other non-wording medias. Your descriptive words will let Search Engines and readers understand your post better.
• “Trackbacks” Bar – Insert the URLs of other blog systems that you wish to notify about your words/posts and when you have no direct Link to them within your written post.
• “Custom Fields” – Write or select a key and value to add custom field within the post. In this blog, basically it only use “homethumb” key manually, with the filename of one of your images without the extension (.jpg) to generate your post’s thumbnail to the homepage.
