If you are visiting Singapore for the Singtel Formula 1 Grand Prix come September 2009, you would be interested to know that The Ministry of Trade and Industry, and Singapore Tourism Board have reduced the Formula One levy on hotel rooms to a four night period. The levy will be in effect from September 24 2009 to September 27 2009. There are thirteen (13) hotels which has been designated as “trackside hotels”. These hotels will have a 30 per cent levy on their total revenue. All other tourist hotels will have a 20 per cent levey on their total revenue.
